Southwest Belle Glade Weed and Seed identifies and coordinates initiatives to fill gaps in services to designated Weed and Seed neighborhoods. Some of these services include computer labs, after-school tutorial programs, visual and performing arts programs, family literacy, employability skills training, and crime and drug prevention classes.

The City of Belle Glade was recently recognized by their insurance company, Public Risk Management of Florida (PRM), for outstanding achievement in promoting workplace safety within their organization.
Free Summer Food Program for Children
The Palm Beach County Summer Food Program is available for meals during the summer. Sites offer two meals daily - breakfast and lunch. Summer Food sites in Belle Glade are listed in the attached link, just click on Summer Food Program Locations and find the location nearest you. Any child 18 years and under can participate. Just show up at the serving time and enjoy a great meal!

It's the City of Belle Glade’s civic duty to understand its citizen's present problems, issues, and concerns. Staff will be available during this tour to approach or be approached by the citizens located in the sited area. The walking tour will be conducted on the following days, dates, and locations noted on this page.

The City of Belle Glade’s Retired Public Safety Officers’ Trust Fund Board is in need of a resident to serve as a Trustee to this Board. Interested residents are encouraged to complete the on-line Citizen Participation Application, and return to the City Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on May 5, 2008.
Application can be found online and are also available at City Hall. If you have any questions regarding this Board and/or its functions, please contact the City Clerk’s office at 996-0100, extension 113.
